WideScreen High Definition Television

It would be untrue, if every body says that they understood the meaning of "widescreen". So what is widescreen? A widescreen image is a film, a computer or television image with a wider aspect ratio than the standard frame. Widescreen was first widely used in the late 1920s in some shorts tales and news reels. High definition televisions are available in four different display models. They are the direct view, rear projection, front projection and flat panel. The flat panel HDTV is the latest buzz in the television technology. The LCD and plasma are the two flat models that use the HD technology. In direct view television, the cathode ray tube is placed behind the display screen.
